Iowa State University of Science and Technology was established in 1858. It has grown into a comprehensive Carnegie Research I research university with an orientation toward science and technology. An Intel survey ranks Iowa State among the nation's top 20 wireless universities, and DesignIntelligence Magazine ranks ISU’s interior design and architecture programs in the top 13 in the nation. Revolutionary innovations include the world's first electronic digital computer, and Iowa State ranks second among universities in Research and Development 100 awards, given by R&D Magazine for top technologies. Eligibility Requirement

• Undergraduate: Must be an incoming freshman or undergraduate transfer student.
• Graduate: awards are determined by the department. For the International Diversity Scholarship, awardees must serve as Iowa State University International Student Ambassadors for at least one year.
• For the ACE: Minimum SAT 1220 (Critical Reading plus Math), minimum high school grade point average 3.3/4.00.
