Facilities

Our specialised teaching and learning facilities and real-life working environments include two award-winning restaurants, a Food Science and Innovation Suite, industry-standard, sports therapy clinics and specialist hair and media make-up studios, all first-class facilities that prepare our international graduates for successful careers.

Academic facilities include libraries and IT facilities, also open evenings and weekends. In-sessional English language support and an assignment and dissertation checking service is also available free of charge to all international students. Postgraduate students also have their own purpose-built study centre located within McIntyre House a recently opened state-of-the-art building providing a fantastic environment in which to study.

We continue to reinvest in our facilities and in 2019 we will open Moss House which will provide a diverse selection of learning spaces, cutting edge sports facilities and equipment, and health and social care facilities that replicate real-life.

Student Services

Our Student Services department offers advice on housing, health, welfare and financial matters, as well as providing a confidential counselling service.

Students looking for part-time work or careers advice or want to set up their own business can call into hired@UCB, our careers, placements and employability centre, where we can help you prepare your CV and complete application forms. Our placements hold great appeal, taking students everywhere from the US to Dubai.

Accommodation

UCB has invested heavily in student accommodation in recent years. The Maltings halls of residence has 827 purpose-built bedrooms, 809 of which have en-suite facilities. All rooms have free-to-air TV channels and free Wi-Fi to help you stay connected. The Maltings is located in the heart of the city centre and just 10 minutes’ walk from UCB. It is also only a few minutes’ walk from the city’s entertainment and shopping district.
