Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards
For the 2006/2007 academic year, the University of Liverpool will be offering three awards (full tuition and living costs) under the Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards scheme (DHPA), as advertised recently by Research Councils UK.
The University has allocated the three awards to:
- Department of Chemistry
- School of Biomedical Sciences
- School of Biological Sciences
Departments will select the strongest Mphil/PhD applicants who match the areas of the awarding research councils, and take account of the preferences of the industrial partners and the University's own strategic priorities.
There is no separate application form to apply for the DHPA. The University will select candidates from its current applicants for PhD places in the chosen departments. If your area of academic interest does not lie in the chosen departments, you will not be eligible for the competition on this occasion. Please do not send speculative applications by email or post. Those currently registered for Mphil or PhD at the University of Liverpool are not eligible to apply. In addition, the DHPA may not be held concurrently with any other awards (e.g. ORS).
Deadline: Any applications for a PhD place received up to and including Friday, 26 May 2006 will be eligible for consideration. Offers will be made to the chosen candidates in June 2006.
