PhD scholarship in data mining and machine learning

Applications are invited for a three-year full-time PhD scholarship in data mining and machine learning to start in August 2011. The PhD position is supported by ARC research grants under Future Fellowship and Discovery Project funding schemes. The scholarship offers approximately AU$23,000.00 per annual for three years, plus tuition waiver.
Successful applicants should
- have an undergraduate (honors) or master degree in computer science or related field (preferably with good knowledge in data mining, machine learning, and statistics).
- be interested in data mining and machine learning research
- possess solid programming skills in Java, C/C++, etc.
