The Dulverton Trust is an independent charitable grant-making organisation established by Deed in 1949 by the 1st Lord Dulverton. These awards, funded by the Dulverton Trust, are offered to students from Central/Eastern Europe who otherwise would not be able to afford to come to Oxford.
Am I eligible?
Candidates should be applying to start a one year Master’s course within the University’s Medical Sciences, Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences, Humanties and Social Sciences. Only full-time courses are eligible. Deferred students are not eligible.
Eligible candidates must be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries:
- Albania
- Armenia
- Azerbaijan
- Belarus
- Bosnia
- Croatia
- Georgia
- Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
- Kosovo
- Moldova
- Montenegro
- Serbia
- Ukraine
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit. Financial need may also be taken into consideration. Please ensure you meet the requirements for entry to your course, including English language requirements. See the Course Guide for more information.
What does it cover?
100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living expenses (the rate in 2011-12 was £12,300). Awards are made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course.
How do I apply?
Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Dulverton Scholarship in the Funding Section of the University's Graduate Application Form. Candidates should apply by Application Deadline 2 (6 January 2012 for Medical Sciences and Philosophy; 20 January 2012 for all other subjects).
How will I know if I have been successful?
Successful candidates will be notified by email in early May 2012.
