Dulverton Scholarship

The Dulverton Trust is an independent charitable grant-making organisation established by Deed in 1949 by the 1st Lord Dulverton. These awards, funded by the Dulverton Trust, are offered to students from Central/Eastern Europe who otherwise would not be able to afford to come to Oxford.

NOTE: The availability of this scholarship is subject to the renewal of the current agreement with the Dulverton Trust.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries: CROATIA and others Central/Eastern European countries.

Applicants who are resident in non-EEA countries should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence on completion of their studies.

Candidates should be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford. This scholarship is open to candidates studying for all degree bearing courses, with the exception of PGCert and PGDip courses.

All subjects are eligible.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit. Financial need may also be taken into consideration.

Please ensure you meet the requirements for entry to your course, including English language requirements. See the Course Guide for more information.

Deferred students are not eligible.

What does it cover?

00% of university and college fees, and a grant for living expenses (the rate in 2012-13 was £12,900).

Awards are made for the full duration of a student’s fee liability for the agreed course. For courses lasting more than one year continued funding will be dependent on a satisfactory annual scholarship report.

How do I apply?

Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Dulverton Scholarship in the Funding Section of the University's Graduate Application Form. Candidates should apply by Application Deadline 2 (4 January 2013 for Medical Sciences, Philosophy Politics and International Relations; 18 January 2013 for all other subjects).

In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must have secured a place on your chosen programme of study by the expected final decision date (13 March 2013). Applications with an outstanding admissions decision after this date, or applications which are re-evaluated against the later March deadline field, are not eligible for scholarship consideration.

Applicants who are ‘re-routed’ (accepted onto a different programme of study to the one they originally applied for e.g. transferred from an MPhil to a DPhil or from one course to another) should contact us as soon as they are notified of the change in order to ensure that their application for a scholarship is maintained on their new programme of study.

How will I know if I have been successful?

Successful candidates will be notified by email in May 2013. This webpage will be updated to show when all decisions have been made. If you have not heard from us by the time this notice is posted, then your application to this scheme has been unsuccessful. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants individually or provide feedback on applications.
