Deborah Harding Scholarship for a Roma student offered by Department of Public Policy, CEU Budapest

We are offering a scholarship for a Roma student in the 2008-2009 academic year, and have extended the deadline of applications.

The Department of Public Policy at CEU is committed to provide a better graduate training of civil servants and policy experts in the region and beyond. The curriculum of the one-year Master of Arts Program in Public Policy connects critical thinking with problem solving dynamics and policy practice.

Students may opt for one or more of four streams of specialization:

  • Decentralized governance stream;
  • International public policy stream;
  • Media, information and communications policy stream, and
  • Higher education policy and management stream.

The department offers the Deborah Harding scholarship for one Roma student in any stream in the 2008-2009 academic year.

The scholarship will cover the full CEU tuition fees and include a stipend for living expenses, and Roma of any citizenship are eligible to apply.

In addition to submitting the regular CEU and DPP admissions documents, candidates must provide a covering letter indicating their eligibility for this scholarship. In addition, a statement of motivation is required outlining what experiences and knowledge the candidates have gained in the field of public policy related to their Roma identity, and how they would use the opportunity of studying at the DPP to reaffirm their identity and promote the interests of the Roma.

Deadline for applicants who submit a complete application file, including language test scores: June 16, 2008.

Candidates to CEU degree programs must submit an on-line application form: https://online.ceu.hu/ .

Upon registration, candidates will receive an automatically-generated password, which will enable them to log into the system and fill out the application form.
