Postgraduate Scholarships
The University of Adelaide offers a scholarships scheme for international students undertaking postgraduate study in 2007. The selection for scholarships is extremely competitive. Recent successful applicants for the research awards have usually had a research Masters, or a coursework Masters with a substantial research component, outstanding academic performance at an internationally recognized university, and publications in internationally refereed journals.

Australian Partnership Scholarships (APS)
The University of Adelaide is keen to assist Indonesia's reconstruction and development efforts through this training opportunity and welcomes applications for admission for this scholarship. More information is available at our APS web site: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/aps/  

The Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)
Up to 6 prestigious scholarships may be available to outstanding international students from any country undertaking postgraduate research in any academic discipline. Benefits are payment of full tuition fees plus an annual living allowance of $19,231** for the normal duration of the program.

Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS)
Approximately 15 scholarships may be available for international students from any country undertaking postgraduate research in areas of University research strengths. Benefits are payment of full tuition fees plus an annual living allowance of $19,231** for the normal duration of the program. More information on the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) can be found on the Department of Education, Science and Training web site.

The Adelaide Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships International (APCS)
Up to 6 scholarships may be available to outstanding international students from any country to undertake a postgraduate degree by coursework in any academic discipline. Benefits are payment of 50% tuition fees for up to two years.

MBA Incentive Awards
Up to three A$5,000 incentive awards may be awarded annually to international students enrolled in the MBA or MBA (Advanced) program. Awards will be on the basis of academic merit and will be set off against the recipients tuition fees.

** Living allowance for 2006. May be subject to an increase in 2007.

Application Process
There is no separate application process for any of the above scholarships. An application for admission to the University in 2007 will constitute an application for a scholarship. All applications for admission consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria will be considered automatically for a scholarship.

An application fee of $50 must accompany the application for admission. This fee is waived for applications made through an IDP Education Australia office: http://www.idp.com/corporate/topnavigation/network.asp , or one of our nominated International Representatives oversea: http://www.international.adelaide.edu.au/future/overseas/

The deadlines for receipt of applications and complete supporting documentation are for all academic programs commencing 2007 31 August 2006

Successful postgraduate scholarship recipients will be informed in November 2006.

Conditions
Scholarships will be awarded strictly on academic merit. Extra- curricular achievements will not be considered.

Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia, and citizens of New Zealand are ineligible for any of the above scholarships.

Candidates who have applied for Australian permanent resident status are ineligible to apply.
Candidates are required to enrol in The University of Adelaide as "international students" and must maintain "international student" status for the duration of their enrolment in the University.
Most scholarships are available for the normal duration of the program, subject to satisfactory progress.

All successful recipients (except for IPRS and postgraduate ASI recipients) will be required to pay their own Overseas Student Health Cover each year.
Scholarships holders must commence study in The University of Adelaide in 2007. By negotiation, winners scheduled to commence in Semester I, 2007 may defer until Semester II, 2007. Scholarship winners will not be permitted to defer commencement until 2008.
