Global Banking and Finance MBA Scholarship

University of Birmingham offers a number of scholarships for full-time UK, EU and international students in academic year 2016. An award is available for the study programme Global Banking and Finance MBA. There are up to two scholarships available to be used towards the Birmingham MBA tuition fee.

• Course Level: These awards are open to students worldwide for MBA program at University of Birmingham.
• Subject Area: Scholarships are offered in the field of business administration at University of Birmingham.
• Scholarship Award: Up to £10,000, to be used towards the Birmingham MBA tuition fee.
• Nationality: EU, Overseas (Non-EU), UK
• Deadline for applying: 31/03/2016

Eligibility Criteria

• The scholarship holder will be in financial need as determined by the University.
• The scholarship holder will have demonstrable experience of working in banking or finance with an international dimension to managing or delivering these services. They will also have a clear view as to how the MBA in Global Banking and Finance will further their career in this area.
• The scholarship will be allocated on the basis of academic ability, relevant experience and clarity of future plans as determined by the selection committee.

Scholarship

• Scholarships apply to one-year, full-time MBA programmes only.
• Scholarships will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
• Assessment will be made based on a candidate’s MBA application, CV, and Personal Statement. Candidates must state which scholarship they wish to be considered for in their application/Personal Statement. The MBA Director may interview shortlisted candidates over the phone or by Skype.
• A rolling assessment process will be in place throughout the application cycle, with the expectation that all scholarships will be allocated by April 2016.

The award winners can expect to receive the following support during their MBA:

• Support from the Deputy Director as your personal tutor throughout the MBA
• Careers support and guidance from our MBA-dedicated team
• Networking opportunities through sector groups
• An assessment centre workshop
• Home/EU Scholarships

• The closing date for application is 31st March 2016.
